While the Joan of Arc celebrations were being held at Valence several thousand people, mostly women and children, attended a cinema show. A film ignited, and a panic followed, sixty being killed and over a hundred injured. Most of the injuries were due to the victims being trampled.—Aut'.-N.Z. Cablo Assn.
