SOLVING THE HOUSING PROBLEM. ' A BIG SAVING OF DOMINION. ; TIMBER. > ■ln addition tar the Government, and public interest taken in the ..conservation of our Dominion Timbers, it is not generally known to what very considerable extent this conservation is being securs'l by the perfecting of "Konka" concrete sheet building construction. In the early history of the new article progress was naturally slow, but the perfecting of the system soon opened the'.eycs of the building trade to the fact that a very simple durable building material had been patented. As a result Architects and Builders are now using ''Konka'' freely with results-far superior to that of Timber, and far less costly than brick or full concrete, aiid yet giving similar resijlts in permanence and low maintenance. It will, no doubt, be a surprise to many to know that sales have recently increased over 100 per cent., and that already considel'ably over 500,000 feet of "konka'' have been used in Wanganui and district alone, so conserving that quantity of Clean Timber, and yet giving better results. Applications from all parts of the Dominion are pouring into Messrs. Bassett and Co., Ltd;, Wanganui—the Domin ion manufacturers for the patentee—for information regarding ''Konka", while the Government is f.lso interesting itself in the matter, and has already called foi 1 tenders for construction in "Konka". Bas-' sett and Co., Ltd., will furnish free "Konka" booklet on application.—Advt.
