Subject to necessary alterations, malls will close at the chief post office, New Plymouth, as under: For Auckland and North, per Rarawa, Tuesday and Friday, at 7 p.m. For Auckland and North, daily per train at 0.15 a.m. For Napier and Glsborne, daily, at 6,15 a.m. For Wellington and South, daily, at 6.15 a.m. For Wauganui and intermediate offices, daily at 6.15 a.m., 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. tfor ' Opunake and intermediate offices, per motor bus, dally at 6:15 a.m. MONDAY, JUNE 2. For United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, United States of America, Central and Soutli America, via San Francslco; ajso Tahiti, Rarotonga and Penrhyn Island (per ss. Moana, from Wellington), at 6.15 a.m. (Best despatch). For Australia, South Africa, India, Egypt, China, Japan and Straits Settlements (per ss. . Roggeveen, from Auckland), at 615 a.m. Parcel mail for United Kingdom, Europe and Expeditionary Forces, (per s s. Middleham Castle, from Wellington), at 5 p.m. KING'S BIRTHDAY—JUNE 3. Tuesday, June 3, will bo observed as a holiday by the Post and Telegraph Offices. The Post Office will be closed in all branches. The Telegraph Office \VIII be open from 9 a.m. *o noon, and from 7 p.m. till midnight. The telephone exchange will-continue open as usual. The Private Box Lobby open as usual. The Railway Post Office will run as usual. All mails usually despatched on Tuesday will be closed at 8 p.m. on Monday, June 2. Supplementary Mails will be made up on Tuesday, June 3, at 6 15 a m. A Delivery of Town Letters (including registered) will be made over the Pos* Office counter on Monday evening, June 2, from 8 to 9 p.m. There will be no delivery by postman. WEDNESDAY, MAY 4. For United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, United States of America, West Indies, Central and South America, via 'Frisco; also Tahiti, Rarotonga and Penrhyn Island (per s.s. For United Kingdom and Europe (for specially addressed correspondence only, marked "per s.s. Middleham Castle"), at 6.15 am. (Best Despatch w'U be per Moana, closing Wellington June 4).
