WATERSIDE WORKERS' DISPUTE. A SETTLEMENT ARRIVED AT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. It is announced that the industrial position in New Zealand has been eased by the settlement of the dispute between the New Zealand Waterside Workers' Federation and the Shipping Companies. The Federation has decided to accept the employers' offer of aji increase in wages on ordinary time amounting to 2d per hour, and 3d per hour overtime, both to apply to all classes of work. r The effect of the increase is to increase the wages of waterside workers from Is lOd to 2s per hoar.
