HOSTILITIES TO PEACE TERMS. BERLIN DEMONSTRATION* London, May 17. Forty thousand Berlin demonstrators protested against Germany's disarmament, and expressed confidence in the Government, which should only accept a peace based on right. Merr -Hoffmann, addressing the Bavarian Assembly at Bamberg, violently protested against the terms, but rejected the idea of seeking a separate Bavarian peace.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. Received May 29, 8 p.m. London, May 27The Daily Express' Berlin correspondent says that hundreds of thousands of Germans intend to emigrate to South America, Canada, and Australia in order to avoid taxation.
