FATAL FALL. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, May 27. Joseph Vincent, aged 74 years, died in hospital as the result of falling from a cart. A MAN MISSING. Greymouth, May 27. Patrick Conors, who is missing from Granville, left for work at Halpin's farm on Sunday. His horse returned late in the afternoon. The river is in high flood and the worst is feared. HAWERA BLACKSMITH DEAD. Hawera, May 27. Henry Duprey Taylor, a well-known blacksmith and engineer, was found dead in bed at his residence, Victoria Street. It was deceased's custom to visit hia workshop every morning at 7 1 o'clock, returning home to breakfast. He was seen at the shop at the usual hour in good spirits, and went home, but failed to put in an appearance later at the shop. His assistant, a lad, went to Taylor's residence at 9 o'clock and found him apparently asleep, but failed to rouse him. He tried again at 1 o'clock and 4 o'clock without result. He then went for assistance, when it was discovered that the man was foaming at the nose and mouth. A bottle cor*aining poison was found on a table beside the bed. Medical aid was summoned but failed to restore vitality. Deceased had been living alone for some weeks, his wife and two young children being en a visit to Sydney. SUICIDE OF AN OLD MAN. Auckland, Last Night. An old man named William Stacey, who lives at Mt. Albert, was found hanging in a. patch of scrub about a quarter of a mile from his home to-day. He was quite dead when found.
