ADMIRALTY MEDAL.
AWARDED TO A SEAMAN. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The King's medal, awarded to Mr. Charles Glidden, a member of the Aurora expedition to the Antarctic, was formally presented to him by the Hon. T. Wilford at the offices of the Federated Seamen's Union. Mr. Wilford stated he. would say no more than quote the words of the official records, which stated: "Now began the fight witK death which called forth qjialities of self-sacrifice and endurance and comradeship worthy of the highest traditions of the Polar service." For those attributes possessed by Glidding he had received this high honor.
