J Chaney was hostess at two tables of bridge on Wednesday afternoon. Last Saturday Miss Sybil Thomson and Miss Dora Bedford gave a fancy dress party at the hitter's residence for Miss Alice Brewster. A great deal of merriment was caused by the "get up" of some of the costumes, which were quite unique. The guessing competitions were won by Mrs. G. Fraser and Miss Ruby Clarke. Mrs. Ronald Quilliam entertained Miss Brewster at two tables of bridge on Friday evening. The High School Old Girls' Hockey Chlb held a most enjoyable dance in the East End Pavilion on Thursday. A great deal of praise is due to the committee for the arrangements were splendid and the dance went with a swing from start to finish. The floor was in perfect order and the music by Mrs. George's Orchestra excellent. Amongst those present were Mrs. E. King, Mrs. L. Rea, Mrs. K. Bain, Mrs. Seldon, Misses Jordan (2), M. Avery, M. Peach, M. Wheatley, B. King, D. Watkins, E. Gilbert, M. Tiplady, B. Oliver, Mouatt (3), T. O'Brien, Bullard (2), Corkill (2), M. Moore, E. Penn, I. Kirkby, L. Gleeson, R.latthv I, McDonald, J.
