MEMORIAL HALL.
SATURDAY'S HOUSE-TO-HOUSE CANVASS. In connection with the canvass being organised by the N.P.H.S.O G.A., collectors are agked to note that their boxes, badges, etc., will be obtainable at the Hospital Board office between 8.80 and and 5 p.m. A ticket will also be issued to each collector, admitting her to morn-. ing and afternoon tea. For the benefit of those who are still perhaps a little in the dark as to the object of this collection, it may be as well to explain that all funds raised will go * to the Hospital Board for the purpose of including in the new nurses' homo a hall to be used as a recreation room. When it is remembered that the hospital has at present nearly fifty nurses on its staff, the necessity for such a room will be apparent to rll, a,nd it is felt that no more ■worthy memorial could be erected to our fallen soldiers and i.urses. The Old Girls' Association has spared no pains to make the collection successful. Subscription lists have been sent to all parts of the district, and we feel sure that the response will be a generous one.
