WEDDINGS.
OPIE-CORBETT. A weddlhg of considerable Interest was solemnised on May 14 at St. Paul's Church, Okato, the contracting parties being Mlßs K. E. Corbett, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Corbet!, of Warea, ahd Mr. Harold Ople. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a Beat grey costume, and hat to match and was attended. by Miss Elina Smeaton as bridesmaid, wearing a navy costume and Hat, relieved wllh VleUx rose. Each carried bouqUets of pink and white chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom was supported by Mr. S. Goodin as best man. After the ceremony a nUmber of guests were entertained at the residence of the bride's parents, where the usual toasts were honored.. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a handsome brooch, and to the bridesmaid a string of pearls. Mr. and Mrs. Opie were the recipients of many useful presents, Including a number of cheques. The happy couple left by motor for New Plymouth, en route to Palmerston, where the honeymoon will be spent.
