FARM AND DAIRY.
PEDIGREE FKIESIANS. A great opportunity will be offered to lovers of the blaek-and»whites at tta sale at "Racelands," Lepperton, on Thursday next, to secure some very hfcrh-olaaa pedigree Friesians. When Clifford Bros, sold their whole ptud in 1918 it was their intention to retire for a time from taking an Active part in stud farming, but the lote-of the black-and-whitea compelled them to-iave a few around them, and it was from the pick of the herds in the Man&w&tu district that they purchased a few choicelybred cows, from which they hoped to be able to breed something to eventually make one of the leading ;stud Friesiau farm herds in the North Island. .
As a sire they selected a young bull,Winana Van Segis, who is now three years old, and is by King Segig Witdroge Homestead, out of Colahthus Quean He is, therefore, closely related to the* late champion bull King' Fayne Segi* H. In fact, to see this young bull in the paddock one would imagine that it was the old bull that they were admiring. The "Badlands" property has been sold, and Messrs Clifford Bros:'will have to vacate at the end of this Jnonri; therefore they are forced (much against their will) to dispose of their fine little herd.
Full particulars are \set. oM Sn the catalogue, which can bo obtained from any of the auctioneers' offices For the convenience of South Taranaki buyers, motor cam will run from Kaponga, Hawera, and Stratford on the moraijiß of the sale.
