Eoban said he could not understands why the vote in New Zealand so strongly favored continuance, but mentioned that a cable message had been received by the New Zealand Alliance stating that tha -vote at one of the military camps in England had been manipulated. REPUDIATION BY THE ALLIANCE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. With reference to the cable from Sydney to the effect that the Kev. Hoban stated that the New Zealand Alliance had received a cable alleging that the vote at one of the military camps in England •had been manipulated, the New Zealand Alliance has been communicated with, and the Rev. R. S. Gray says that the New Zealand Alliance has no cable to that efFect, and if Mr. Hoban has a cable or knowledge of such thing it is not ■knowledge that came from the New Zealand Alliance. REMAINING SOLDIERS' VOTES. Wellington, Last Night. The licensing voting on the Arawa and Carpentaria will be counted this week. This will leave three troopships yet. to come, with approximately 1292 votes on board The last of these three is due before the end of the month. The Samoa returns, about 200 votes, are not expected till the second week in June.
