WOOLLEN WORKERS' AWARD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Duuedin, May 15. The Conciliation Council sat to-day to ratify the agreement between Boss and Glendining and the Mosgiel Woollen Co. (Dunedin), the Bruce Woollen Co. (Milton), the Oamaru Woollen Co., the South Canterbury Woollen Co. (Timaru), Lane, Walker and Huddin (Ashburton), the Kaiapoi Woollen Co_ (Christchurch), Wellington Woollen Co., Napier Woollen Co. (Onehnnga), and the Woollen Mills and Federated Woollen Mills t Union of Workers. The Commissioner ' said the dispute could apply only to Otago and Southland, but application might be made to the Arbitration Court for a Dominion Award. It was unanimously decided to request the Commissioner to intimate to the Arbitration Court the desire of both parties that awards in terms of recommendations be made in each industrial district where mills are operating. "■' The agreement provides for 45 hours week, the overtime rate, time and a for the first two hours, time and second two hours, and thereafter ! , rates, double rates for work on and holidays. Wages for wool !t; sorters, spinners, warpers, hand loom, I'lwttern weavers, chain minders, assist- '' ant carders 1/7, tunere V 8; wages for females with four years' service or upwards lOd per ho«r, piece work rates 20 _; per cent extra for weavers, and 25 per 'Sfjfit'for other workers.
