WAITARA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Waitara, May 15. The Druids' Lohge at Waitara has decided that the form their part will take in the peace celebrations will be that of a decorated lorry, with a tableau representation of Druids, in the olden days. I understond that a large number of tickets for the picture to-night, in aid of the memorial gates on Camp Reserve, have been sold. Second-Lieut. D. A. "Jenkins, M.M., came home on Tuesday evening. The Mayor met the train at Lepperton, and welcomed him home in a few well-chosen works, expressing pleasure at the honor lie had won and on his well-deserved and rapid promotion. He leaves for duty again on Friday. At the School Committee meeting on Monday the inspector reported that they had held an examination of the school, and had found that the subjects in all classes had been taken as p-escribed in the regulations and dealt with intelligently and with good results. The discipline and tone of the school were good, and, as a whole, were a credit to the headmaster and staff.
