AUSTRALIAN SEAMEN.
THE THREATENED STRDXE; Melbourne; Last Nigltt. Following on the announcement by the Inderal Council that the Seamen's Union SSs arrived at a definite decision regarding' the calling of a general strike of seamen, it is reported that the crews of ships in port will strike to-night, but the officials state that the decision will riot be published until they have had an Opportunity of meeting the men. The secretary of the Federated Seamen's Union stated that the maritime situation was not more critical since 1017.
