Reports from Waikato state that prices of stock are 'falling, and feed is very scarce. Farmers are trying to rush stock to market, but the freezing works are full, and buyers are holding off. A i visitor, just returned from Whangarci, states that the Wairau Eiver is so lbw that a man can walk across the top of the falls. Aa the river supplies the electric station with power, the matter has become serious, and already there has not been enough power to keep the cement works supplied as well as to light Whangarei.
