Received-May 12, 5.5 p.m. London, May 6. , The tallow sales are resuming on the 14th. WOOL SALES. Becelved May-12,. 5.5 p.m. London, May 6. At the wool-sales 81.16* hales were offered, .Whereof 1565 bales wore New Zealand. There was a poor selection, but a very full attendance. Competition was hardly so keen as at the April opening. Sllpes were in keen demand. Super made 2d above the April average, and slipes Idr super combing merinos advanced 6d; average merinos, par. Received May 13, 1.5 a.m. London, May 11. !At tho- .woo! sales prices showed a, Kardeimiig tendency. There was keen and ifine crossbred scoured, but for very short locks and pieces irregular prices wererealised. TlwNew Zealand clips included: Washdyike, top price T2d, average 71% d; Wallacetown, top 40* d, average 33% d.
