A PROCLAIMED AREA MILITARY CHARGE CROWD. London, May 6, Mr. Ginnell attempted to address a meeting at Athlone, which is a proclaimed area. The military broke up the gathering and charged with fixed bayonets. Many were injured. The crowd sought the shelter of a church and later assumed a threatening attitude. Armored cars then arrived. Mr. Ginnell, amid intense excitement, ineffectively attempted to speak in various parts of the town. —Aus -N.Z. Cable Assn.
SUSPICIOUS EXPLOSION. POLICE RAID PREMISES IN CORK. London, May 5. The police searched premises in Cork where an explosion injured four persons. They discovered 200 bombs in the premises, which are believed to be the Sinn Fein Cable 4MB.
