AFGHAN FRONTIER MENACED. Calcutta, May 8. Lord Chelmsford sent a Btrong remonstrance to the Amir of Afghanistan strained from incursions on the frontier. It is anticipated that sufficient British troops will be available to deal promptly with the trouble.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
