REPATRIATION.

To the Editor. Sir,—May I invite th 6 assistance of your columns to ask employers of all kinds of labor in New Plymouth to continue their efTorts with the Repatriation Committee and the Returned Soldiers' Association, to find employment for returned soldiers 1 At the moment the committee is in the happy position of having on its books practically only one soldier out of enjoyment, he being in search of clerical work. So far we have had the most generous assistance from employers and it is scarcely necessary for me to invite their further help; but <> ambition is to wake a record in New Plymouth, mul it is only with the active sympathy of the public that it can be done We ask 'that before any vacant position of any kind, in town or' country, is filled the employer communicate with the secretary of the Repatriation Committee, Mr. A. S. Allen, Brougham street, New Plymouth. During tb« next two months the greatest number of soldiers will be returning, and we shall need the co-operation of 'employers to repatriate them. We have had 110 case brought to our knowledge where preference has not been given by employers tc soldiers, and so long as that spirit prevails we should have no difficulty in this part of Tara-naki.—-I am, etc., A. S. ALLEN.
