Last week the school was honored by a visit from the chulrrann and ex-chainuari of the Taranakl Education Board, who were accompanied by Mr. Smith, M.P., a member of tlie [board and Mr. Jtoore, the overseer. The object of their visit was to inspect tile school grounds. '• Next Friday night a public meeting will bo | held In the hall to make arrangements for ex- ' lending a royal welcome home to all the reJ turned soldiers from the district, and no doubt will bo largely attended. All the men except ! one or two are already back and they, too, will 1 undoubtedly soon return. Thijt s the social will .be a huge success goes without saying.
