An effort is being made to form a trotting club in New Plymouth, and all those interested are requested to attend a meeting to be held at the Soldiers' Club rooms to-night at 8 o'clock. Trotting races have made a wonderful advance in recent years, and the Waimate Plains Club's annual meeting at Haweia has always secured generous support from owners as well as from the public. There is no reason why North Taranaki should not have a strong club, and the promoters trust that all who can attend will make a point of being present ut to-night's meeting.
