DISTRICT NEWS.
WAREA. (Prom a Correspondent). A most enjoyable evening was spent at Waren Inst Tuesday evening, May 6th, when the people of Warea for manv miles around tendered a social to Miss K. E. Corbett, in honor of her approaching marriage. The attendance was the largest and most representative that liaß turned out for some considerable time. The programme consisted of dancing and songs, very ably rendered by Miss J. Cassie, Mesdames Macguire and Larking, and the Rev. C. Addenbrooke. Excellent dance music for dancing was rendered by Mr. Pearson (piano) and Mr. P Norris (violin). The presentation, which consisted of a very beautiful afternoon tea service was presented by the Rev. Addenbrooke, who spoke In high praise of Miss Corbett's untiring energies In connection with the Cape Egmont Floral and Horticultural Society, of which Miss Corbett was secretary, also as librarian and constant attendance as organist, all of which Miss Corbett had carried on very successfully for several years. Miss Corbett's father (Mr. H. Corbett) feelingly replied on his daughter's behalf. Mr. D. Paton made an excellent M.C.
