ANGLICAN SYNOD.
TARANAKPS BISHOPRIC SCHEME APPROVED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. The Anglican General Synod primate, owing t<> the strain of synod business, leaves l"r Dunedin to-morrow morning (Thursday). The Bishop of Nelson was enthusiastically received on his retiirn from the front. The primate Hfliictuiced that the Archbishop of Canterbury had conferred on the Bishop of Nelson the honorary degree of D.O. The scheme for the formation of a new diocese in Taranaici was heartily approved. A committee on the primacy question recommended a fixed priory at Wellington. The Bishop of Nelson leaves for his home to-morrow morning.
