AFTERMATH OF THE WAR. Received May 7, 9 p m London, May 3. Discussing his recent experiences at Scotland Yard, Sir Nevill Macßeady states that the war has left an increasing tendency to violent crimes. The new type of burglar, after four years' experience of killing, shows an indifference alike to life-taking and for personal safK,.-. A quarrelsome husband, who before the war was content to clip his wife's under-ear, now used an iron bar or anything else handy for flooring her. Sir Nevill Macßeady foresees an increase in the murder of women. —Aus. N.Z. Cable Absoc.
