A BRILLIANT DOUBLE PROGRAMME FIRST EPISODE OF "THE HOUSE OF HATE." An exceptionally brilliant programme , will be presented for the approval of ( Everybody's patrons to-night and tomorrow night. Heading the list there is a five-reel Pathe play "The Hillcrest Mystery," with the gifted Irene Castle in'the lead. "The Hill Crest Mystery," is a photo-play of great dramatic intensity and exciting incidents. Mrs Castle is seen at her best. Of this most distinguished figure of the screen, Mr Arthur Brisbane, dramatic critic, has said; "Why waste time describing Mrs Castle? When you mention'her name you tell the» whole story." In •The Hill Crest Mystery" Mrs Castle portrays Marion Sterling, the daughter of a wealthy ship-builder. Sterling is murdered, and it is in connection with the mystery that the photoplay is concerned. On the same programme there is the first episode of the latest Fathe serial story, "The House of Hate." How good Pathe serials are is gauged when one thinks of "The Iron Claw," "The Neglected Wife" or the film just finished, "The Fatal Ring." Yet all the exciting episodes of those three pictures rolled into one cannot approach the thrills and sustained action of "The House of Hate." Antonio Moreno is cast in the lead with Pearl White opposite and there is nothing in the way of sensation that these tvro do not provide. The first episode is "The Hooded Terror," introducing a prominent character who is responsible for some remarkably thrilling incidents right throughout the story. THE PEOPLE'S. "THE TROUBLE BUSTER." To-night's new bill at the People's presents dainty Vivian Martin in her latest Paramount picture "The Trouble Buster." Just how funny little clay statute* made a newsboy famous and gained for him a fortune, and also a charming girl, can be seen in Vivian Martin's Paramount picture, "The Trouble Buster." In "The Trouble Buster," her newest Paramount production, Bhe wears very ultra-fashionable gowns in the last part of the picture, whilst in the first part her costume is—well, we will leave you to see for yourself. The programme includes Burton Holmes Travelog and a Jester comedy, "The Fatal Flower." "THE EAGLE'S EYE" SATURDAY. Commencing at the matinee on Saturday will be the "Eagle's Eye," the amazing exposure of Germany's vile network of intrigue to dominate the world. =====
