THE EX-KAISER.
GERMAN PROTESTS. AGAINST WILHELM'S TRIAL. Received May C, 5.15 p.m. Berlin, May 2: Government circles protest that international law does not justify the Allies' proposal to try the Kaiser. They consider that the proposal is a belated act of war which might have been appropriate in the armistice terms but not in the peace terms. The proposed tribunal would bo more of a court-martial. An international tribunal, constituted by the League of Nations, alone would assure a fair trial.—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc.
