SUPREME COURT.
CHRISTCHURCH SITTINGS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, May S. At the Supreme Court sittings to-day, Justice Herdinan granted an injunction against G. H. Stockdale, second-hand dealer, restricting him in tho selling of second-hand Edison phonograph records below the listed price. Thomas A. Edison, Ltd.- (plaintiff company) had written to defendant forbidding him to sell below the listed prices according to the conditions printed on the boxes, but defendant continued to make sales at lower prices, and expressed the determination not to stop. His Honor held that the plaintiffs had the right to impose the conditions of sale, and referred to a decision of the Privy Council in the case of the National Phonograph Company, of Australia, v. Menck, in support of his judgment.
