ANGLICAN SYNOD. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Napier, Last Night, At the Anglican Synod resolutions ex-, pressing appreciation of the chaplains' worth, and of tha worth of the late Bishop Williams, were carried. The general synod, on a division, passed a resolution affirming the desirability of admitting women as church wardens and members of the vestry. The second realing of a bill for alternative confirmation franchise was defeated by the lay votes. DELAY IN BURIAL. Napier, Last Night. The body of an elderly man, Hugh Butler, was left unburied in the hospital morgue for over a week, and on the complaint of the relatives the Hospital Board held an inquiry to-day. After hearing lie evidence the board came to the conclusion that a severe reprimand to the louse steward would meet the case.
