Oi . WHOLESALE MURDERS. Paris, April 23. , Oho of Landru's supposed victims was Madame Guillin. Landru proposed marriage to her in 1015, saying that he was French Consul for Australia, Madame Guillin disappeared soon afterwards, and her friends supposed she had gone to Australia. Landru was seen in Paris in 1916 in company with other women.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. Paris, May 1. Experts' examination of Landru's shabbily furnished bungjalow revealed the charred remains of human skulls in the kitchen grate. Blood stains were discovered on the stairs leading to the cellar, and more charred bodies under a heap of dead leaves in an outhouse. It is suspected that Landru opened graves and buried some victims during the night time. Investigation at the cemetery is proceeding an the result of the gravedigger's assertion.
