A CASE OF SUICIDE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, May 5. The police have been advised from Middlemarch that James Coutts, CO years of age, missing since Thursday, has been found dead in a gully near his home with his throat cut and a razor in his hand. A FATAL SLIP. Auckland, Last Night. Cecil Fortesque, aged 46 years, of Urey Lynn, fell from a tram car in the city on Saturday night, and sustained concussion of the brain. He died in the hospital to-day. FOUND DEAD. Auckland, Last Night. A man named McKenty, aged 28 years, was found dead with a gunshot wound in his head at Waitakere to-day. Deceased was found s:tting in a chair with a gun- between his legs. He had suffered severely from influenza, A MOTOR VICTIM. Christehurch, Last Night. A post-mortem on David Henderson Brown, who died at the hospital on Friday, could not be held, as the body had been buried. When the coroner resumed the inquiry this afternoon he said it had not been expected that this examination would disclose anything as to how the accident happened, but the doctors wished to make sure of the exact nature of deceased's injuries. However, by some mistake, the body was taken away and buried before the post-mortem examination could be held. The coroner said that, accordingly, he would return his verdict, which was to the effect that Brown died from injuries received through being run over by a motor car driven by Charles Major Barnett. There was no evidence of negligent driving. LAD CRUSHED TO DEATH. Taihape, Last Night. Alexander Bilsland was crushed to ! death by timber falling on him at Quin's Mill, Hihitahi, on Saturday. The lad, who was eight years of age. left for I dinner, and was found dead forty minutes afterwards. At the inquest to-day a verdict of accidental death was returned.
