Wellington, Last NightDuring shunting operations on the railway wharf to-night an engine ran over a rutin, severing one of his legs and mangling the other. The man was removed to the hospital, where he died soon after admission. At a late hour tho victim was still unidentified, but it is believed he was a member of the crew of tlio Tainui. A BOY'S DEATH. Dunediri, Last Night. At the inquest on a boy named Riddle the evidence showed that death was due to diabetes, which is stated to bo very unusual in the case of one so young.
