ENTERTAINMENTS.
EVERYBODY'S. . THE CAMPBELL BROTHERS TO-NIGHT The popular Colin and John Campbell who created such a favorable impression at this theatre last week have been engaged for a return season of two nights this week. These clever musicians and entertainers will appear tonight and to-morrow night, also at the matinee to-morrow in conjunction with a complete new picture programme, headed by a World film feature, "Vengeance." This is a remarkably interesting atory in six reels with Montague Love and Madge Evans in the leading parte. Much of the plot is laid in India and redolent of the mystic east.
EMPIRE THEATRE. CHARLIE CHAPLIN' IN "A DOG'S LIFE" TO-NIGHT AND TO-MORROW. The New Plymouth public will have an opportunity to see the ever-popular Charlie Chaplin in the first of his big super-comedies under the new contract with First National Exhibitor's. This film is a three-reel subject entitled "A Dog's Life." You may think you've seen Charlie Chaplin, and you may think you've laughed at him, but when you see the mirth masterpiece, "A Dog's Life," you will realise that you've only caught a glimpse of Charlie. It is the first of the million dollar Chaplin's, and depicts this wonderful entertainer in a three-reel film that puts all his previous pictures in the shade. It is of a most unimaginable furious fandango of funniness, the tale concerning Charlie's dog's tail. "TO HELL WITH THE KAISER." On the same programme there will be screened the big motion picture sensation "To Hell With the Kaiser," probably the most popular title ever applied to a moving picture. "To Hell With the Kaiser! 1!" This exclamation has been said, either silently or aloud, by patriotic people and lovers of decency everywhere! Everyone agrees that the monster of Europe is not fit to live anywhere else! Bui in this multiple-reel Screen Classics, Inc. feature, the expression is taken literally. The Berlin beast is actually shown in "the hot place." How he gets there, and what becomes of him after his arrival, form an interesting part of this wonderful picture. These two big attractions are being screened at prices within the reach of all, viz., dress oircle 2s, stalls Is (plus tax). The box plan for both nights is now open at Collier's, where seats can be reserved for 2s. There will be a special matinee Saturday at 2 p.m. THE PEOPLE'S. LAST NIGHT OF "TONGUES OF MEN." Constance Collier, the new and beautiful Paramount star, screens finally tonight in the fine drama "The Tongues of Men." A fine Travelog and Mack Sennett comedy are also on the hill. An added attraction on to-night's Mil is the welcome reappearance of the Campbell Brothers in an entirely new musical programme. They will also perform at the People's to-morrow night. DOUG FAIRBANKS TO-MORROW. To-morrow's big new bill presents the "daddy of all the screen athletes," Douglas Fairbanks," in his latest Artcraft picture, "Say! Young Fellow." No half-way measures are adopted by Fairbanks in this picture, which is full of life and action from the word "go." It is a sumptuous production at times bordering on the spectacular. The Campbells are also on this bill.
