GOLF.
The New Plymouth Golf Club will commence the season's play with a medal match on Thursday and a bogey match on Saturday. The committee has decided to revert to pre-war conditions, and have the links open for play for ladies on Tuesday and for men on Thursdays and Saturdays. Members and the public are requested to note that only authorise*} caddies will be allowed 011 the Club's property and then only under proper care. No children will be allowed to wander over the property, and anyone found taking balls of! the links will be prosecuted. PROGRAMME FOR 1919. The programme for the first half-year is as follows: Saturdays.—May 3, bogie matcb; May 10; St. Andrew's Cross; May 17, men's foursome (senior and junior partners); May 24, medal handicap; May 31, mixed foursome; June 3, v Hawera at Hawera; .Tune 7, bogie match; June 14, 21, 28, July "> and 12, Standish Cup. Thursdays.—May 1, medal match; May 8, bogie match; May 15, Inglewood inter-club at Inglewood; May 22, medal flag match; May 2!), St. Andrew's Cross; June 5, June 12, bogie match; June 19 and 26 and July 3, Standish Cup; July 10, v. Witiora at Witiora. Balance of programme will be arranged later.
