A CONSIDERABLE IMPROVEMENT. Received April 30, 10 30 p.m. Sydney, April 30. There has been a considerable improvement during the past twenty-four hours, only seven deaths being recorded. The isolated miners have resumed work. THE POSITION IN NEW ZEALAND. Christchurch, Last Night. The Hon. G. W. Guthrie, Minister for Public Health, has received reports stating that from noon on April 24 to noon on April 28 the cases of influenza were reported as follows in the health districts:—Auckland 15, Wellington 13, Canterbury 9, Otago nil; total 37. There are only four severe cases. One of these is at Whangarei, one at Rona Bay, Wellington, and two are in Christchurch suburbs.
