INFLUENZA EPIDEMIC.
THE COMMISSION'S REPORT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The'time within which the Epidemic Commission is to report has been extended till May 14. The report is expected to bo ready then. The commission has already forwarded to the GovernorGeneral an interim report dealing with the precautions and measures to be taken in preparation against a recrudescence of the sickness. CASES ABOARD THE MANUKA, Wellington, Last Night. Five cases of influenza developed among the crew of the Manuka; wHeii arrived in the stream from Sydney on Monday evening. The health authorities placed the vessel in quarantine, and removed the patients and contacts to Somes Island. All the cases are reported to be mild, none being of the pneumonic type. There were no passengers on tlie vessel. The Manuka will remain in the stream indefinitely. restrictions in new south Wales. . I 1 Received April 30, 12.S a,m. Sydney, April 29. Cabinet has adopted the medical council's recommendation to. maintain the influenza restrictions for another fortnight.
