AMERICAN VISIBLE WHEAT SUPPLY. Received April 27, 5.5 p.m. Chicago, April 25. The visible wheat supply is 73,410,000 bushels. SOUTHERN MARKETS. Christchuroh, April 25. 1 The oats market has finned u.little, there having been an advance of one penny per bushel for prompt delivery. : It is reported that forward sales are now being made up to 4s Id f ob,, and Gartons are therefore worth 3s 4d to Ss 5d at country stations. There is a general impression that there is not a large quantity of Carton oats in Canterbury this season. Owing to their comparative failure during the last few dry season*. Cartons were discarded by many farmers in favor of Algerians. Those who held " on to Cartons have reaped the advantage, as they have yielded best this sea-' son, and because of their more limited. ; quantity are in better demand. Dunft are also scarce this season.
