(From Our Own Correspondent.) Inglewood, April 20. Great interest in centring around the forthcoming municipal elections, and, al the request of ratepayers, the candidates for the Mayoral chair and Borough Council will address the electors at the Town Hall. His Worship the Mayor (Mr. G. Young) will preside. Messrs R. Buckley and J. Sutherland are candidates for the Mayoral chair, and Messrs W. Dean, R. Fawcett, R. Frewin, A. Gamlin, J. Gibbs, A. Lile. H. Luke, T. Parkin, A. Paterson, and F. Spunlle are candidates for the council. Several disciples of Demosthenes are included in the list. A citizens' farewell social is being i tendered to the Rev. and Mrs. E. L. Harvie on Tuesday evening, j The Ladies' Patriotic League will hold [a welcome home social to returned soldiers on Thursday. The proceeds will be devoted to the Blind Soldiers' Fund.
