DOMINION CASES. % By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Minister of Public Health to-day supplied the figures for the notification of influenza during the days from April 14 to IT. In all, 38 cases were notified. In the Auckland district there were 14 cases, all mild, except one gastric case at Ohura. In the Wellington health district there were 18 cases, 2 at Elthain _ (both of an epidemic type), 6 in Wellington City (4 severe and. 2 mild), and 8 in Paliiatua (2 mild and 1 pneumonic). All the other cages in the district TO mild. In the Canterbury district there were 6 cases, two of them shipping cases at Lyttleton, both pneumonic, from the st?nnier lioromiko. in Otago" there was one mild epidemic case in the, Vincent hospital district. THE POSITION AT MOTUIHI. Auckland, Last N}gh{. No fresh cases of influenza bW beeh reported at th« quarantine station at Motuihi. Eight patients were discharged to-day, comprising one passenger and seven members of the crew, who were left behind. This leaves seventeen patients still on the island, of which two cases are serious. ENLARGING QUARANTINE ACCOMMODATION. Wellington, Lwt Night. 1 The Minister pf Public Health is endeavoring to expedite the work required to enlarge the quarantine stations, and lias requested the chief health officer to report as to what has been done regarding the stations and how long it will lake to get them intp an efficient state. The officer has reported that the Public Works Department is pushing on with che work at Motuihi, where provision is being made for the accommodation of 250 people, making the total capacity of the island 450. At Somes Island hutments are to be provided, increasing the accommodation to 500. . PROTEST AGAINST EMBARGO. Melbourne, April 22, The Government is protesting vigorously against the New Zealand Government's embargo on passenger traffic frpm Australia.
