JAPAN.
TROOPS SENT TO KOREA. THREAT TO WITHDRAW FROM CONFERENCE. New York, April 10. The Herald's Tokio correspondent reports that six battalions of Japanese troops have been sent to Korea for the purpose of suppressing the disturbances. New York, April 17.
The World's Paris correspondent was told by a Japanese official that if Japan's claims to Kiaochau and Shantung are not granted Japan will withdraw from the Peace Conference and make hei own arrangements with Germany.—Aus, and N.Z. Cable Aasoc.
