She has advanced France, Belgium, Greece, and Roumania 25 millions each for five years at 5£ per cent., on condition that the money is expended in purchasing Canadian produce and manufac-tures.—-Times. WESTRALIAN PREMIER. Perth, April 16. The National Party has elected Mr. Colebatch to succeed Mr. Lefroy. WIRELESS TELEGRAPHY IMPROVEMENT. New York, April 5. The Schenectady General Electric Company is manufacturing an instrument by which a wireless message may he printed on tape. This device makes a receiving speed of 400 words a minute possible.—Ans. A Washington dispatch states that the Japanese Government is considering an amendment to the Alien Land Ownership law passed in 1010, but never promulgated.
