Gerald Patterson (Australia) beat Fisher (New Zealand) 7—3, 6—2, 6—3. In the doubles the greatest surprise was Fisher and Major Arthur Rowe beating Patterson and R. V. Thomas. A terrific fight ensued when the visitors led by 5—2 in the fifth set, which subsequently finished 10—8.—-Reuter.
