NEW PLYMOUTH FIRE BRIGADE.

The annual meeting of the New Plymouth Fire Brigade was held last night. In the absence of Superintendent F. C. J. Bellringer Sub-Superintendent Boon presided, and apologised for the superintendent's absence, expressing the hope that he would shortly be restored to his usual health. The election of officers resulted as follows: Superintendent, F, C. J. Bellringer; sub-superintendent, A. Boon; Central foreman. H. Ford; West foreman, J. .Tohnston; ladder foreman, J. Black: secretary, H. Ford: treasurer, F. C. J. Bellringer; executive committee, Firemen A. Courtenay and H. Inch: auditors, Custodian Doughty and W. Way The chairman congratulated all officers on their .reelection, and gave a very interesting resume of the business of the conference at Invercargill. There were 30 meetings held during the year, the members' records being: Superintendent Bellringer, 33; Sub superintendent A. Boon, 33; Foreman J. Johnson, 32; Foreman J. Clark, 32; Foreman H. Ford, 35; Custodian F. Doughty, 35; Fireman H. Inch, 31; Fireman J. Roberts, 30; Fireman W. Way, 20; Fireman H. Moon, 33; Fireman A. Courtney, 30; Fireman F. Nicholls, 35.

Decorations for tlie year were: Foreman J. Clark, bar completing 17 years; Fireman W, Way, bar completing 17 years; Fireman G. Lambert, bar completing 13 years; Secretary H. Ford, bar completing 27 years; Lieut. A. Boon, bar completing 21 years; Fireman C. Allan, active service, medal 5 years; Fireman W. Roch, active service, bar, 15 years; Fireman A. Courtney, bar, 11 years; Fireman G, Malam, bar, 7 years; Fireman H. Moon, bar, 15 years;' Custodian F. Doughty, bar, 11 years.
