COMPENSATION BILL PASSED. London, April 12. At a single sitting a Bill was passed imposing on districts in Ireland sheltering the perpetrators of the recent outrages compensation to widows and orphans.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
THE BAVARIAN REVOLUTION. Received April 14, 12.50 p.m. London, April 12. German wireless messages point out that, although several Bavarian towns have declared in favor of joining the Munich Soviet Republic, the declarations are merely arbitrary statements by the Councils of Workmen, not popular demonstrations. Already Ausbach has recalled its declaration. • The Munich Central Council has placed mines, commercial undertakings, and newspapers under control preparatory to their socialisation. Wurtemberg, Baden, Hessen, and Magdburg have recognised the Hoffmann Ministry in Bavaria.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Aesa.
