ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A WOMAN'S SUICIDE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, April 12. A married woman named Honora Riceshards, aged 45, was found dead, hanging by the neck by a rope in the wash-house of her residence in Keppel Street, Arch Hill. At the inquest a verdict of suicide while of unsound mind was returned.
A SOLDIER'S SUICIDE. Invercargill, Last Night. At the inquest on the death of Alfred McLean, a returned soldier, who was found poisoned at the Southland hospital on April 3, the evidence showed that the poison was got from the pocket of an old tunic in the bathroom. A verdict was returned of suicide while depressed, no blame being attachable to the staff.
