LABOR CONFERENCE.
ABOLITION OF CONSCRIPTION. London, April 3. At the British Labor Conference in London the speakers demanded the abolition of conscription and the inclusion of Austro-Germany in the League of Nations, which must bo made effective, removing all power from diplomats, -who are responsible for war. The conference carried Mr. Ramsay Mac Donald's resolution that delegate* to the League should be chosen from the National Parliaments. It also cawiod Mr. Thomas' resolution that no armies should be raised by eon* scription and tlmt the manufacture of armaments be placed under the control of the League. < Mr. Henderson's resolution waa carried, opining that tho League covenant should be part of, the preliminary ptaee treaty and suggesting several trntsA* ments to the draft in order to rarmnt the League becoming a menace tS taow* cracy.
