BOLSHEVISM IN PARIS. LENIN AND TROTSKY APPLAUDED. London, April 8. A disturbing symptom developed at a procession of 30,000 people in Paris on Sunday, intended as a Jattres demonstration. Finally there were 100,000 in the procession, singing "The Internationale'' and hooting M. Clemenceau and lauding Lenin and Trotsky. This was doubtless dne to the anarchist element. Six policemen were stabbed at the outset while endeavoring to confiscate the anarchists' black flag. Crowds stoned and otherwise attacked the police in another quarter.' Over thirty were injured, some seriously.
A Socialist writer in the newspaper battaile describes the demonstration as merely a preface to the workers' ability to organise for coming social action.
WOOLLEN TRADE REQUIREMENTS. Paris, April 8. The French Director of Raw Alaterials is proceeding to London, urging a larger allocation of colonial wool to revive the northern industry of France. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
