THE MIDHIRST MEETING.
To the Editor. Sir,-—Referring to my ruling at the Efficiency .League meeting held at Midhirst, and Mr Coleman's letter, the following is the correct version: At the opening of the meeting 1 said that before the close there would be 10 minutes allowed in which to ask questions. There was a persistent interjector in the hall, and I rose and asked him to keep quiet and told him that he would be allowed 10 minutes in which to speak later and put his views, before the meeting. When Mr Coleman approached the platform I asked him if he was a member of the Efficiency League, and he replied that he was not. I then asked him if he had any questions to ask, but he replied "no." He demanded to speak U ( '- 11) minutes. The persistent intcrjectcr then sang out that the invitation 'to speak was to him and not tt> Mr Coleman. I ruled that as the hall v:n" engaged by the Efficiency League, and Mr Coleman was not a membcer, he v.-as not entitled to hut only to ftik' mies-tions, so Mr Colsnian's statements are entirely misleading.—T am, etc..
