Purgatory & Matrimony. A Priest was showing off his class in the presence of the Bishop and asked a little chap: What is Matrimony? With bulging eyes the boy responded: Matrimony is a state of punishment to which some souls are condemned to suffer for awhile before they are considered good enough to go to heaven! "Tut, tut," said the Priest; 'that's the definition of Purgatory!" "Let him alone," said the Bishop; "he may be right! What do you and I know about it, anyway." Pretty good!
