ELTHAM.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) * Elthain, April 8. At the Town Hall last night there-was an excellent attendance to hear the reasons why Prohibition is desirable in Sew Zealand, as expressed by Mrs. Rankin and Mr. R. Masters. Rev. W. Hobday introduced the speakers. Mrs. Rankin created a very favorable impression. Mr. R. Masters also had a cordial reception, and throughout his speech received a most attentive hearing. There were quite a number of children present, who appeared to be interested in the proceedings, and between the addresses vocal and other items were contributed by. the Salvation Army Boys' Home pupils, Misses Scotney and Tonks, and Master Irwin.
